Complaint against Sneha

Sneha is wedged in a controversy that is snowballing into a major religious issue. The actress has visited the Thiruvannamalai Temple and also participated in the Girivalam that the temple is well-known for. The girivalam is a 14 km walk just about the temple. Apparently, as per the spiritual faith and temple rules, the devotees are to walk the entire make bigger barefoot. However, the actress, said to be pain from a leg ailment, has been advised by her doctors to use a slipper at all times. Due to this, the actress was seen on foot with her slippers on during the Girivalam. According to Sneha, she uses an individual slipper made of cloth while visiting the temples and she had done so during the girivalam.

Sameera on Ajith’s gratis time

Sameera Reddy is return from Malaysia after completing her agenda for Asal. Now the team is planning to shift to Europe for the next module.

In meeting, the Varanam Aayiram girl said that she like sea sports and had spent her leisure in Malaysia scuba diving. When asked if Ajith would join her, the actress said that Ajith is always busy surveillance home videos of his daughter during his extra time.

Ajith also took a smash to be with his daughter in Chennai twice during their stay in Malaysia, it is reported.

Speaking more on this, the pretty actress said that, she also had a possibility to view some of his daughter’s videos and was astonished to see that his daughter sang so well. Sameera was all praise for Ajith’s daughter and added that she has never heard a child sing so well before.

National Film Fare Awards

While there were burly speculations that one of the Khans – Shah Rukh or Aamir – could bag the 55th nationwide best actor award, it has been affirmed that Tamil actor Prakash Raj has bagged the award for his role in Kancheevaram. By the way, this Priyadarshan directed movie has been adjudged the best movie!

Aamir Khan’s Taare Zammen Par has received a few awards too. While the film was awarded the best family welfare award, Prasoon Joshi gets the most excellent lyricist award and Shankar Mahadevan the best playback singer for the same movie.

Adoor Gopalakrishnan, the ace Malayalam director has been chosen as the best director for his movie Naalu Punnungal. Kannada actress Uma Shri bags the most excellent actress award for Gulabi Talkies.

Nayan, Namitha and Meera elucidate

Recently, the audio release and promotional events of films are devoid of heroines who are conspicuous with their absence. It’s extensively noted that the lead ladies of latest films are absenting themselves from such events. Coming down heavily on this, Sivasakthi Pandiyan warned that such actors, who fail to attend the promotional events, would be issued with red cards by the Producers’ Council and following sanctions will be forced on them. In the lately held Aadhavan audio release, Nayan was not there and Namitha and Meera were not present in the proceedings of Azhagana Ponnudan and Aadinarayana.

However, the actors, after having heard of the red card threat, seem to have spoken to the Nadigar Sangam Chief Sharathkumar and clarified on their absence. According to them, the absence is due to the producers who neither notify of the events in advance nor pay for their tickets to fly down for the same. Sharath, in turn, promised them to look into the same and hold discussions with the Producers’ Council.

Arya’s propose to Pooja

Arya’s production home, The Show People, began its first scheme Padithurai with newbie’s. In fact, the actor-turned-producer had also signed up a debutant director for the scheme. About 30 new faces have been roped in for this movie, sources say.

We have news from believable sources now that Arya’s good friend Pooja plays a very important role (heroine?) in the movie. Apparently, the actor wanted to give Pooja a good quality role as she did not land with any plum offers after Naan Kadavul. Will Arya’s efforts catapult Pooja’s star status as predictable? Shilpa clarifies on her marriage

Shilpa Shetty’s marriage news has once again turned out be fake! The actress, in her blog, had affirmed that she is not getting wedded this year. News about Shilpa’s marriage originated when her parents Surendra and Sunanda applied to the court to get back their passports to travel abroad. Reports also state the couple had given the cause as their daughter’s marriage. It is worth a mention here that Surendra and Sunanda’s passports were seized by the court on charges of intimidating a business associate.

The Shilpa has posted on her blog, “And most prominently I’d like to state, like I’ve said before I will make an official statement on this site like I always do, the day my parents decide on my wedding date and I promise the press will have at least a month to rejoice the announcement.”

Aishwarya Rai Next Film

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s next movie Action Replay, with Akshay Kumar in the lead, is happening with the film’s director Vipul Shah signing up Oscar winning make up artist Paul Patti son to create a fresh look for Ash and Akshay in the movie.

Despite having signed up the top in the industry, Vipul could not get the actors and the make up artist together, as Ash is busy with Mani Ratnam’s Ravan, Patti son couldn’t make it having devoted himself to two projects in Hollywood – Chicane and The Waiting City.

However, things turned out well with Ash taking a short break from Ravan and the director immediately contacted Pattison’s producers in Hollywood to have him screen  for a few days to work in his project. Sources say that Paul has worked out a new look for both the lead actors in Action Replay.

Why Kanthaswamy was made on an enormous budget

Director Susi Ganesan is busy with the post manufacture work of his forthcoming release Kanthaswamy. The film release date finalized, the director is making all pains to complete the post production effort on time.

When questioned about making jumbo budget movie at a time small budget movies are doing well, the director said that a dream project like Kanthaswamy requires a huge budget and it is just not right to make the movie on a shoestring budget.

Susi Ganesan said that the movie industry comprises both small as well as huge budget movies. He added that with the release of Kanthaswamy, the Tamil movie industry will scale new heights.

Silambarasan on his wedding

Silambarasan, in a current interview to a popular newspaper, said it is true that he is contemplating to get wedded soon. However, the actor made it obvious to his parents that he would tie the knot only after his younger sister Illakiya gets wedded. Following this, T Rajendar and his wife Usha Rajendar are investigation for a suitable groom for their daughter. Silambarasan’s wedding will be planned after his sister’s marriage.

The actor said that he is prepared to get married and it would be an arranged wedding finalized under the aegis of his parents.
