Superstar lands in problem in US
The Malayalam superstar Mammootty was under arrest at the US airport for a few hours. The airport officials were apparently confused by the name in the actor’s passport – Muhammadkutty Ismail Paniparambil. However, with the timely interference of the Indian Consulate, which was informed by the Malayalee association members, Mammootty was allowable to go on.
The security officials at the JFK International Airport had been instructed to query all persons entering the US in the name of Muhammad Ismail and this had triggered the bewilderment. The actor was taken for quizzical for over two hours by the security officers.
Bhavana back in Tamil Movie
Though Bhavana has a number of Telugu movies in her kitty, the actress has been busy scouting for burly roles in Tamil. It is value mentioning here that Bhavana did not get any chance in Tamil Film after Jayamkondaan. The actress says that offers in Tamil went dehydrated as she refused star in glamorous roles.
Presently, the actress has been signed up by director Priya V for her approaching project. Prithviraj plays the hero in this movie. By the way, Prithviraj was Bhavana’s on screen pair in her debut movie Swapnakoodu. Bhavana’s yet one more Tamil movie in the line up is Mahatma. According to the actress, this movie will give her the much necessary break in Kollywood
Arya-Shriya not disturbed in triangular love
Director Manikandan is at present working on a feature movie, named Chikku Bukku, which has Arya, Shriya Saran and Preetika Rao in the lead roles. The director disclosed that the first program of the movie has been completed. He said that public is questioning him if it is a triangular love story, as the movie has two heroines.
Manikandan made it clear that Chikku Bukku is a romantic brush, set in a city, but it is absolutely not a triangular love story. He added that 25 per cent of the movie will be shot in Austria and this is the first time that a Tamil movie is being shot in that country. The Chikku Bukku team will soon continue to Austria for 19-day film shooting.

Big B’s Aladin rouses inquisitiveness
Aladin, a movie by the talented filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh, has roused enough inquisitiveness among the movie buffs. Sujoy carved a niche for himself after his entrance film Jhankaar Beats became a box office smash hit. According to Sujoy’s blog: “Two people sat in the coffee shop of Marriott and believed that they will make a movie which has never been seen before on the Indian screen…” This conversation, perhaps, was the root reason of Aladin.
Fascinatingly, the director plans to share every instant of the making of Aladin with the movie buffs. The readers of his blog will get to know how he chose his star cast, see some of the exclusive photos and the director will also share his experience during the filming procedure.
