Silambarasan’s election campaign
Silambarasan is planning to go on a tornado election campaign to gather votes for his director-producer-actor-politician father Vijaya T. Rajendar. The actor’s recent film, Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya, which is being directed by the top director Gautham Menon, is nearing completion. Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya also has actress Trisha playing Silamabrasan’s arm candy.
With the film approaching completion, it paves way and time for Silambarasan to think on the election campaign. Reportedly, the movement will go on for three days in Kallakurichi, Yercaud and Athur areas. Based on the reply from the voters, the movement may be extended, says a basis close to the actor.
Actress Meena Marriage
Cine Actress Meena will get married on July 12th in Tirupathi. This is an arranged marriage, disclosed the actress recently. Her fiancé Vidyasagar, is working as a software engineer in Bangalore.
A formal Marriage ceremony was held at Meena’s residence in Saidapet. A few of the actress’s friends from the film industry attended the rite. Though the wedding is programmed to take place in Tirupathi, a function for the newlywed will be held in Chennai on July 14th.
Meena said that she would carry on acting in films and TV serials, provided good opportunity come by her way.
Ajith’s Asal delayed
Ajith’s Asal delayed The Asal shooting, which was reported to begin during the first week of May, has been pressed to May 15th. Asal, it is worth mentioning here, is produced by Sivaji Productions and will be directed by Saran.
The photo shoot conference of Asal will begin on May 4, 2009; it was exposed by sources close to the film’s unit. Ajith and Sameera Reddy will participate in the photo shoot session. Film Industry Celebrates Trisha’s birthday
Trisha, the Kollywood cinema’s original diva, celebrates her 26th birthday today, May 4th. AR Rahman’s Show in Kerala
The Kerala State Government privileged the Oscar winner music director AR Rahman with a souvenir at the Kadavu Resorts in Kerala yesterday (May 3rd, 2009). The honor was done just hours before the Mozart of Madras was due to perform at the Jai Ho performance. The occasion was well attended by the State Ministers, politicians, bureaucrats and the film personalities.
Hours later, AR Rahman was at the Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode beguiling the 50,000-odd audience. The Jai Ho performance, which went on for more than four hours, had the audiences applauding their icon all through. A crowd of singer including Chithra, Sadhana Sargam, Hariharan, Muhammed Aslam, Sayanora, George Peter Benny Dayal, Rashid Ali and Javed Ali were part of the performance crooning for AR Rahman’s tunes.
